We had an incredible experience diving for 4 days at Y AKA. The team is professional and enthusiastic and the equipment is in great condition. The groups are kept small on purpose, making the dives a great personal experience. A special shout out to Romain and Hiti who both took great care of us and made our dream to dive with dolphins come true.

Magnificent dives with Yaka plongées on the Rangiroa pass for 3 days with our children, aged 14 and 12, who are PADI Junior divers. Hiti and the team in general were very careful and attentive with them. The dives were magnificent, and the site lives up to its reputation: pods of dolphins, dozens of blacktip reef sharks, grey reef sharks and a huge tiger shark. They gave us a wonderful experience. A big thank you to the whole team 🤙🙏🏽✨

I recently planned a last-minute trip to Rangiroa, and I was blown away by the exceptional service from start to finish. From Marie-Ange in the reservations team to my dive master Romain, everyone went above and beyond to make my trip seamless and enjoyable. Romain was particularly outstanding - his extensive knowledge and passion for marine life made our dives truly unforgettable. He took the time to spot and identify the very creatures I was eager to see. I'm already looking forward to returning and exploring more of Rangiroa's incredible dive sites with this team.

Romain, our dive master, is the best dive master in finding dolphins. 2 encounter with dolphins in 4 dive. Romain is chilled, patient and attentive. Yaka shop is clean, nice and the captain Alexis is one of the best on the island. Romain is also one of the 4 oldest guide in Rangiora. If you wanna see dolphins, dive with Romain.

There are multiple dive shops on the island obviously, but you'll find that many of them tend to be booked out and may only give you 1 or 2 dives when you wanted to do all 3 per day. I also found out the hard way, that at least one of them, Rangiroa Diving Center, literally didn't care that I had close to 1000 dives, was deep dive tested to 40, 50, and 55 meters (passed all 3), but because I'm with PADI (which I know is the worst of all certifications), I'm not allowed to deco dive per padi, even if I've done it enough times and was fine doing it. They wanted me to have some french only deco dive cert I didn't have, or they wouldn't take me below 20 meters at all (and I searched the regs, they were actually allowed to take me to 40 meters in deco as part of a group with a trained guide, they just didn't feel like it). Yaka thankfully was there to rescue my diving days, by 1) having space for me (I think they don't work with agents that book months in advance and therefore had more room) 2) being fine with my level of diving and allowing me to dive to 40m 3) as a bonus also being the cheapest dive center on the island I believe. Now, they are a bit barebones, it's not the most fancy place (bring your own drinks and cookies :) ), but they had room for me, they picked me up and dropped me off, they made sure I was in a group of similar level for every single dive I did, and the guides were experienced and definitely knew what they were doing. Sometimes the boat was a bit cramped with 3 groups, but we all had a guide for 4 or 5 of us, which is all I really care about. And as a bonus, they certified me for the french PE40 cert easily without forcing me to have 4 boring dives just for the cert, and that was a huge plus for me (I'm not going to miss beautiful dives in rangi just to get a cert for something I knew how to do but didn't have the paper for). So, great job guys, thank you!
